Operation Train Car RESTORATION
In December 2021, we were presented with the opportunity to purchase this incredibly unique piece of property, a 1920’s Rock Island Passenger Railway Car nestled in the heart of Long Lane on 10 secluded acres, which had previously been home to some of our close friends. They had purchased the property as an escape from big city living, and took up residence within the train car, where they enjoyed homeschooling their two children in the peace and quiet of the country. This is what the train car looked like the day we bought it.
Under Construction
We tore out all of the ceiling, duct work & tile. Everything that was not original to the car was removed.
Spray Foam!
We added spray foam to the train car. This will make it more comfortable and efficient!

Hey! We are the Bennetts! My name is Ashley, and my husband is Clayton. We have been married for 15 years and have three beautiful children: Cameron, Macie, and Lucas. We are Long Lane and Dallas County locals. Our family is incredibly busy and constantly on-the-go, as can be expected with three kids! Clayton has owned his own IT and Security business since 2011. When he’s not working or hauling kids around, he loves to spend his time on a dirt bike. I like to say I’m a retired nurse, since I left my NICU nursing career behind to homeschool our kids. In my free time, I like to… actually, what free time?! Kidding. I love adventuring, whether that is to another state, or into the woods in our side-by-side. In between baseball, competition cheer, gymnastics, fishing, and all of the other activities, we really just enjoy spending quality time together as a family. We are looking forward to bringing this unique property back to life!!!
